The Korg OPSIX is a Digital synthesizer with Analog emulations and a 6 operator mixer. It does have more functionalities than a classic FM synthesizer - like the DX200 I have.

The synth is easy to carry and has a 3 octave keyboard with velocity.
This best can play up to 32 voices. There are different algorithms you can choose from and different modes. Besides only working with a Sine wave, you have more modes. The red colour is a carrier, meaning the main sound and the blue rings are modulators, so it will influence the carrier sound. It will create different harmonics and timbres to your sound. It is really cool to work like that for Live performances.

There is a unison (spread) option that allows you to create a bigger stereo image. The modulation wheel on the left side is tweakable, you can assign different programs to it. Also when you choose a different mode.. you will see that your options will change too. So the synth is quite diverse.

The sequencer is for me a highlight. I love to work with Sequencers. The cool thing about it is that you are able to assign multiple notes to one step, so you will get a lot of tonal variations. By using the Modulation part in the effect section, you also will be able to impact for example the velocity of the keys You can change the sequence in length, steps, and sound. The arp will overrule the sequence and it adds a new dynamic to your loop. Algorithms, octaves, and speed are adjustable.
