A slow moving weather pattern bringing benign conditions for many, however, for north and northwest Scotland conditions are becoming increasingly unsettled throughout the day. Low cloud and outbreaks of persistent rain over Shetland and northwest of Scotland, heavy at times, especially into the evening. Strong winds continue, gale force at times for Shetland. Elsewhere, remaining fog continues to slowly lift, but skies remaining largely overcast, with some breaks in the cloud in the southwest of England and Wales, as well as eastern Scotland and northeast England. - This is the Met Office UK Weather forecast for the afternoon of 31/10/24.
