Animal welfare charities struggle with demand as people abandon their pets this winter

An animal charity is warning that it is "becoming difficult" for them to provide care as demand for their services grow over the festive period.

The RSPCA say they have seen a "huge increase" in the amount of animals being abandoned and neglected across the year as family budgets are squeezed with the ongoing cost of living crisis.
