The 92-year old Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory is undergoing a historic period of modernization, with construction projects and upgrades taking place all over the Lab's hill site. Berkeley Lab Director Mike Witherell explains how new scientific facilities, along with improvements to the site infrastructure and renewal of obsolete laboratories, will enable Berkeley Lab to continue its world-leading scientific mission for decades to come.
