Layman Abstract :
Hotels use a lot of electricity and heat every day. This study looks at new ways hotels can produce their own power, either by using renewable energy sources like the sun, wind, or plant waste—or by using fossil fuels in smarter, more efficient systems.
Some hotels already use these methods, such as solar panels, wind turbines, fuel cells, and co-generation systems (which produce both electricity and heat at the same time). These technologies can be very efficient, helping hotels save energy and reduce pollution. For example, solar and wind power don’t release any carbon emissions, while systems using natural gas release much less carbon than traditional power sources.
Each technology has its own pros and cons, and the best option depends on the hotel's location and energy needs. This research is important because it shows how hotels can become more eco-friendly by choosing the right energy systems—helping both the environment and their bottom line.
