Hello Guys,

Welcome to "Perpetual's Kitchen".

Today I will be showing you that how to cook this delicious "Black Pomfret Curry".

⬗INGREDIENTS ARE:-
Black Pomfret - 1kg.
1/2 tsp Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder (For marination)
1/3 tsp Turmeric powder (For marination)
1/2 Lemon juice (For marination)
1/2 cup of sliced coconut.
3 roughly chopped tomatoes.
1 roughly chopped onion.
1/2 cup chopped coriander leaves.
1/2 tsp cumin seeds.
10 t0 12 Curry leaves.
1 tsp Ginger Garlic paste.
2 tbsp Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder.
1 tbsp Coriander powder.
1/2 tsp Cumin powder.
1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
2 tsp Tamarind pulp.
2 green chillies.
Freshly chopped coriander leaves for garnishing.
Salt to taste

☞FOR MARINATION:-
Take 1kg Black Pomfret(Washed, Cleaned & cut into pieces) in a plate/bowl.
Add 1/2 tsp Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder.
1/3 tsp Turmeric powder.
1/2 Lemon juice.
Salt to taste.
Gently rub the spices on the fish.
Let it marinate for 15 minutes.

☞FOR MASALA PASTE:-
In a grinding jar, take 1/2 cup of sliced coconut.
3 roughly chopped tomatoes.
1 roughly chopped onion.
1/2 cup of chopped coriander leaves.
Add little water.
Blend it to a fine paste.
Our masala paste is ready.

⬗Method:-
Turn on the gas, heat a frying pan.
Once the pan is heated then add 2 tbsp of oil.
Now add the marinated fish pieces one by one in a hot oil.
Fry the fish pieces for 2 minutes on medium flame.
Flip the fish pieces and fry it for another 2 minutes on medium flame.
Now take out the fried fish in a plate and keep it aside for further use.
Now turn on the gas, heat a kadai.
Once the kadai is heated then add 4 tbsp of oil.
Once the oil is heated then add 1/2 tsp of Cumin seeds.
10 to 12 Curry leaves.
1 tsp Ginger Garlic paste.
Saute it well.
Now add the masala paste to it.
Mix it well and roast the masala.
Now add 2 tbsp Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder
1 tbsp Coriander powder.
1/2 tsp Cumin Powder.
1/2 tsp Turmeric powder.
Mix it well (NOTE:- Gas is on low flame)
Add salt to taste and mix it well.
Once the oil has been separated then wash out the grinding jar in which we had made the masala paste and add the water to it.
Mix it well.
Add 1 cup of water and stir it well.
Close the lid and let it cook for 5 minutes on high flame.
Open the lid after 5 minutes and mix it well
Now add 2 tsp of Tamarind Pulp and mix it well.
Now add the fried fish pieces one by one.
Add 2 green chillies.
Give it a shake.
Close the lid & let it cook for 2 minutes on low flame.
Open the lid after 2 minutes.
Garnish with some freshly chopped coriander leaves.
