India’s fastest-growing social commerce platform — Meesho — is coming out with its ₹5,421.20 crore IPO! 🛒🚀

🏢 Issue Type: Fresh Issue (₹4,250 crore) + OFS (₹1,171.20 crore)


Started as a reseller-led platform, Meesho is now India’s largest e-commerce player by placed orders and annual transacting users. Their Zero-Commission model helped millions of small sellers come online at almost no cost. The company also follows an asset-light structure — no owned inventory, warehouses, or private labels — allowing it to scale efficiently.


🧠 From the fresh issue,
• ₹1,390 crore is allocated to cloud infrastructure
• ₹480 crore for ML & AI team salaries
• ₹1,020 crore to MTPL (subsidiary)
• Remaining funds for inorganic growth


📊 Financials:
Revenue grew from ₹5,734 crore (FY23) to ₹9,389 crore (FY25). But losses widened too — from ₹1,672 crore to ₹3,942 crore — making profitability a long-term challenge.


⚠️ Risks:
🔹 Deliveries depend entirely on third-party logistics partners like Valmo.
🔹 76.95% of FY25 orders were Cash-on-Delivery, increasing inefficiencies.


Meesho’s scale is massive, its model is unique, but the road to profits is still bumpy. 📉📈
