TikTokker Haleyy Baylee tried apologizing for tone-def MET Gala video

Hayley Kalil, HaleyyBaylee on social media, was an E! Entertainment correspondent to the MET Gala. This is a super-fancy event where the wealthy elites go and spend insane amounts of money on the evening and their clothes to flaunt their good fortune to all us peasants. Kalil, a model/former model, whichever she is dressed up in an elaborate outfit and made a video based on the Marie Antoinette movie. Historians debate, not only whether the Queen of France made the statement: "Let them eat cake", but what it would have meant from her demeanor. What is true, is that the monarchy bankrupted the country with their lavish lifestyles while Marie Antoinette was Queen. She was beheaded due to the hate the commoners felt for her behavior and what she did to the country. In Kalil's apology, she tries to say she is sorry while giving all the reasons she believes she is not guilty of the backlash she has received. What she still does not seem to understand, is that ignorance to history and current plight due to her privileged life is just mirroring the problem in France eighteenth century. Kalil is a woman who has been able to achieve a great deal in her life just by working hard and being physically attractive. Some are not taking her, "I'm pretty and didn't know better" apology seriously. I doubt it will undermine her blooming social media career.
