The horse pulling Princess Beatrice' s carriage at Royal Ascot almost bolted after it became "spooked" during Saturday's royal procession.

According to The Mirror, Princess Beatrice was sitting next to her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi when the horse bucked wildly, threatening to derail the show.

However, expert horsemanship managed to bring the animal under control.

The national anthem played as the royal procession arrived, and guests raised their top hats.

The couple waved to crowds as they made their way up the race track.
