Rich in history, tradition, religion, and culture, Southern Asia is home for one third of the world's population. Yet it is left with less than 1.5 percent of the world's economic resources. Poverty keeps millions from any hope of the "fullness of life" promised by Christ. Global Ministries participates in the efforts towards "abundant life" through partner churches and institutions in Southern Asia. This video features three such efforts, illustrating how people swim against currents of despair toward a brighter future. Laotian children learn job skills, traditional songs and dances. Youth in India receive technological training and move towards independence. Women are empowered to pursue their dreams and provide hope for their families. Find ways to respond to the Gospel challenge and participate in the efforts to bring hope of abundant life to the 'least' of God's children.
