Keith Reid is a British songwriter and musician, best known for his work as the primary lyricist for the rock band Procol Harum. Born on October 19, 1946, in London, England, Keith grew up in a family that was passionate about music.

In addition to his work as a songwriter, Keith also released several solo albums over the years. His first solo album, "The Common Thread," was released in 1990 and received critical acclaim for its introspective and emotionally honest lyrics.

Throughout his career, Keith has been recognized for his contributions to the music industry. In 1995, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Procol Harum. He has also received numerous awards for his songwriting, including a BMI Citation of Achievement for his contributions to the music industry.

Keith has been married twice in his life. His first marriage was to Janet Reid, and the couple had two children together, a son named James and a daughter named Sarah. After his first marriage ended in divorce, Keith married his second wife, Julia, in 1994.

Today, Keith continues to write and record music, and he remains an influential figure in the music industry. His unique style of songwriting, characterized by its poetic and often abstract lyrics, has inspired generations of musicians and continues to captivate audiences around the world.
