In 2020, ASTech led 11 SiTA members and other Technology Provider in implementing a suite of Industry 4.0 (i4.0) solutions at Grand Venture Technology Limited (GVT).

These solutions encompassed MES, Smart Storage, Advanced Machining, Automatic Tool Change, In-process Measurement, Flexible Clamping Systems, Safety, Robotics, Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMR), Quality Management, and Smart Dashboards.

ASTech’s proprietary Integrated Software Platform seamlessly connects all third-party software systems—such as MES, Tool Management Software, Quality Software and equipment-level controllers—into a unified environment.

This integration enables real-time data exchange, centralized monitoring, and coordinated control across the entire i4.0 production line. By bridging previously siloed systems, the platform enhances interoperability, process transparency, and operational efficiency, while providing a scalable foundation for data analytics, predictive maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives.

The deployment helped achieve up to 60% manpower reduction and up to 40% productivity improvement. In addition, the implementation enhanced process consistency, equipment utilization, and production traceability, while reducing human errors, machine downtime, and material waste.

It also improved real-time visibility of operations and supported data-driven decision-making for continuous improvement.
