Preparation time : 5 minutes
Cooking time : 30 minutes
Resting time : 1 hour
Makes : 6 pieces


Ingredients : ( 1 cup = 240 ml )

Milk - 1.5 liters
Water - 2 tbsp
Lemon extract - 1 tsp
Sugar - 1/2 cup
Cardamom powder - 1/2 tsp
Ghee - for greasing
Cashew-nuts and almonds - for garnishing

Method :

-Take water in a bowl, add lemon extract. Mix well and keep aside.
-Take milk in a heavy bottom pan. Bring to boil.
-Stir in between and boil on medium flame till it is reduce more than half of its quantity.
-Switch off the flame and gently pour the lemon water. Add give a quick stir.
-Wait for few seconds, you can see that the milk solids have started separating.
-Make sure that it has not separated completely.
-Now again switch on the flame. Add sugar mix well.
-Add cardamon powder. Mix well.
-And cook till it becomes thick and starts leaving its sides.
-Take a square dish, grease with ghee.
-Pour the cooked mixture. Press gently and level it up.
-Wait till it reaches to room temperature.
-Then refrigerate for 45 minutes.
-Demould it. Sprinkle grated nuts over it.
-Cut into squares and serve.
