NOTE: Sorry about the fuzz between 8min - 11min, didn't catch that after I checked the exported video. I was editing in H.265 for this video and Vegas 14 didn't seem to like it.
A board repair that turned out to be a lot easier than usual.
It's worth noting that while I mention not noticing reverse diode protection in many laptops, I'm sure I've seen Zener diodes across the input on MacBooks int he schematics. This Schottky diode is just a lot more physically obvious on the board than they usually are... I'll have to keep my eye out for them in other devices now, for curiosity.
