Coffee from southwest China's Yunnan Province, the country's largest coffee producing region, is percolating in overseas success, with a sharp rise in both export volumes and prices.

At a processing workshop in Baoshan City, coffee beans are roasted based on diverse client preferences, with a daily output of around two tons.

As overseas orders pour in, the company has been expanding its production capacity.

International coffee futures hit 50-year highs earlier this year, lifting prices for Yunnan coffee beans at the same time.

One local company, founded last year, is basking in the rally.

Customs data shows that in the first eight months of the year, Yunnan exported more than 100 million U.S. dollars-worth of coffee and related products, ranking first in the country.
