Metric Halo released the 3d digital upgrade for existing audio interfaces and the latest firmware version provides a new features called Satellite Computer Port (SCP). This allows two devices to be connected (computers, iPhones, iPads, ...) over ethernet and USB-C and to freely route audio between those devices while still being able to use all of the Metric Halo on-board DSP.

This video demonstrates how to do that with a MacBook Pro and an iPad Pro, using effects on the iPad, while recording dry and wet audio on the Mac with Logic Pro X.
