A Muslim cleric in Australia has revealed that the country has high tolerance towards the minority communities. In a speech delivered inside a Brisbane mosque, the imam drew a brutal comparison between Pakistan and Australia. Imam Uzair Akbar of Holland Park Mosque said that if a Bondi-style terror attack were carried out by non-Muslim minorities in Pakistan, houses would be burned and people would be murdered. Contrasting this with Australia, the imam said Muslims live freely despite being a minority, able to walk, speak, and pray openly. He urged listeners to “give credit to Australia” for its tolerance and freedoms. The imam said radical thinking must not be ignored, warning that silence allows extremism to grow and eventually turn violent. While he framed his remarks as a cautionary message, critics say the language itself raises serious concerns about radical mindsets.
