“He’s lost control": Poilievre says Trudeau too "weak" to protect Canada's economy from Trump | FULL

Conservative Party Leader Pierre Poilievre suggested during question period in Canada's House of Commons on Wednesday that Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is too “weak” to protect the Canadian economy, as the country faces upcoming challenges in its relationship with incoming U.S. president Donald Trump.

“He’s lost control of our borders, he’s lost control of immigration, he’s lost control of spending. And with that erratic performance, we now see that he’s lost control of himself. No wonder foreign leaders believe they can walk all over him,” Poilievre said in a testy exchange between the two leaders.
Trudeau stood up for his track record on programs that tackle affordability, including a promised GST tax holiday that takes effect in December. He added that his government would “stand up” for Canadian jobs.

The prime minister also met criticism from Bloc Quebecois leader Yves Francois-Blanchet, who called for a confidence vote on his proposed “tax holiday” and rebate cheque, arguing that Canadians and business owners “don’t want it.”
