Ananda is a global spiritual organisation dedicated to sharing the practical science of yoga applied to daily life. Ananda Australia focuses on offering guided meditations, support, and inspiration. This form of meditation is based on universal spiritual principles and practice from Paramhansa Yogananda, author of the best-selling spiritual classic, Autobiography of a Yogi. The founder of Ananda, Swami Kriyananda, was a direct disciple of Yogananda and went on to share these teachings globally.

Ananda is a spiritual global organisation which took the name of a Sanskrit word meaning "Divine Joy." The goal of Ananda is to help people realise that this joy comes from within. Ananda shares Paramhansa Yogananda's key message to the world: Unity of all religions and the importance of love of Spirit combined with scientific techniques of meditation.

ABOUT SPEAKERS (NARA & KALAMALI)

Husband and wife, Nara and Kalamali, currently serve as centre Co-Directors for sharing Ananda in Australia. They are certified meditation, yoga teachers (200-hr) and spiritual counselling certified by the Ananda School of Yoga and Meditation. They both practice Kriya Yoga, the scientific method of meditation mentioned in Autobiography of a Yogi by Paramhansa Yogananda. As householders, both Nara and Kalamali are Pilgrims in the renunciate order established by Swami Kriyananda in late 2009, the Nayaswami Order.

Together Nara and Kalamali assist the distribution and marketing for Co-Spiritual Directors of Ananda Sangha Worldwide, Nayaswami Jyotish and Nayaswami Devi, with their weekly Touch of Light blog, podcast, and Jyotish’s spiritual art.
