Kenya on Wednesday recorded 123 new coronavirus cases the highest in a single day with a warning from the Health cabinet secretary Mutahi Kagwe that Kenyans are bound to suffer if they ignore guidelines issued to curb the spread of the virus. Kagwe cautioned that the responsibility of defeating the pandemic was within the realm of every Kenyan as the virus is now rapidly spreading in the country’s informal settlements that are densely populated. So far the country has 1,471 confirmed cases with 55 fatalities after three more people succumbed to the virus in the last 24 hours.
