Amanda is both a researcher and an advocate for sex trafficking awareness in the United States, with a specific focus on Utah. Amanda has shared her research on online sex trafficking at several conferences, has been a part of panel discussions, and has been featured on the local news. In the near future, her research will be up for publication.

Amanda is currently a senior at Westminster College. She will be starting graduate school at the Rollins School of Public Heath at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia this fall. Throughout her undergraduate degree, she has been heavily involved with the college’s Honors program and promoting public health initiatives on campus. She has continued her research career at the Huntsman Cancer Institute where she studies protein interactions and their role in the DNA damage response pathway in cancer cells.

In her spare time, Amanda is very involved in the community where you can find her volunteering for local non-profits and setting up interactive classes for a girl’s center. After graduate school, she plans to attend medical school and work with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on global health initiatives.
