On Wednesday, the town of Irmo packed Friarsgate Park to recognize the four Little League Baseball and Softball teams that advanced to their division's respective World Series rounds.

This feat is a historic one, as no one town has ever sent that many teams to a World Series in one year.

While all four teams traveled across the country to put Irmo, South Carolina on the map, maybe the most well-known is the 12-year-old group that swept the nation with their incredible performance in Williamsport, where time and time again they beat the odds and overcame adversity.
