At around 9:52 pm on 4 February 2020, the Senate agreed to a condolence motion moved by Leader of the Government in the Senate, Mathias Cormann, with Senators standing for a moment of silent in respect of the motion.

Senator Cormann promptly moved the adjournment of the Senate.
