This is a video of a Concert Celebration fundraiser featuring Lui Collins, Martha Sandefer, David Roth, Molly Scott, Scott Randall, Ferne Bork, Dan Tinen, Bruce Kahn, and the Red Door Duo – Helen Avakian and Dave Irwin, to help support the creation of the Earth & Spirit Songbook Book Two. These songwriters, with songs in the first book (or one for the next book) make the case how timely and necessary this project is. Book One has been a resource for almost 2 decades; now songwriters are responding to climate disruption, disappearing diversity of wildlife, and other urgent issues. I think the world needs another book.

This Concert Celebration helped raise initial funds for the project, and showed our fiscal sponsor, Fractured Atlas, that the project has popular support. Creating a book involves a lot more than just me sitting at the computer arranging music; there’s the communications and contracts with composers, and so much more, involving a whole crew.
