Due to playing on an older machine I`ve been playing around with the graphics settings and have found some settings that run fast and look acceptable, if you don`t mind it looking cartoony.

The settings I used where:

Unit Detail: Medium
Depth Of Field: Off
Space screen reflections: Off
Anti-aliasing: FXAA
Texture filtering: Trilinear
Water detail: Low
Grass detail: low
Terrain detail: low
Building detail: Low
Unit size: Medium
Porthole quality: 3D
Unlimited video memory: off
V-sync: off
SSAO: off
Distortion effects: Off
Vignette: Off
Proximity fading: Off
Blood effects: On
Battery meter: off
