[Recorded 12/3/23] After reviewing the audio in some of the Eastgate footage which I have so far, I realised my phone's built-in microphones are not up to the standard I would like. What makes it weirder is that they sounded perfectly fine in this very lift in this video, yet in the KONEs all the problems came to light. It wasn't picking up the sound of the motor properly when at full speed, and some of the clunks get aggressively quietened after the peak of their volume. So I invested in this external microphone after a lot of research in an attempt to have optimal audio quality for future longer take videos. I have to say, despite the sound quality generally being excellent, I'm a little disappointed with it so far, perhaps some elements can be fixed, but let me explain.

So as mentioned the sound quality is excellent, it's lightweight, simple USB C connection, easy to set up and so forth. However there's 3 main things as of right now that really don't work for me. Firstly, the noise of movement. Even the slightest bit of movement and suddenly there's lots of rumbling picked up and present in the audio as you can clearly hear in the video. Secondly, it doesn't seem to want to work with the default Android camera app despite it being advertised that it has this capability. Thirdly, the app made by Zoom for use with it seems to not allow me to record in 4K60 despite my phone being easily capable of it, and I have a suspicion it doesn't support my phone's image stabilisation either - you can see the footage here is definitely a lot more shaky than usual, and even the change in grip I had to do to use this wouldn't cause that much more shaking. Will I continue to use it going forward, that remains to be seen. If some of the negatives can be fixed then perhaps, but I need to consider what is the best combination, which is where I need your feedback!

Let me know what you think of the sound quality, and also if you know of any way I can fix the issue of the rumbling caused by even the tiniest bit of motion. It's not viable to have that going on throughout the video. Also I need more input. In the event none of the problems I currently have with this get fixed, which would you prefer: Stable 4K60 video with occasionally weird microphone quality, or not so stable 1080p60 with excellent audio but with lots of motion-induced rumbling? I'd appreciate as much feedback as possible on this as I want to make the best decision for future content, and I don't see viability in trying another microphone as these things are not cheap!
