James Dean-Rebel Without a Cause: Inspriational Performance

Описание к видео James Dean-Rebel Without a Cause: Inspriational Performance

I have always loved James Dean, but have only recently begun exploring his work. This video contains spectacular excerpts from Jimmy's film, Rebel Without a Cause. The vid focuses mainly on the character Jimbo's relationship with his father. It is a beautiful and poetically told timeless story on many levels... the most profound being the relationship between a man and his son; who is trying to find his way into his own "manhood" with his father's guidance.

Jimmy studied at the Actor's Studio with Strasberg who's work was based on the innovations of Constantin Stanislavski.... fully developing into what is now called "method acting". Jimmy was directed by Elia Kazan in East of Eden.... (Marilyn Monroe was an "Usherette" for East of Eden.)
Kazan who directed East of Eden was a close friend of Arthur Miller's until their falling out over Kazan's naming names during the investigations of the HUAC. Kazan was also one of Marilyn's lovers during certain periods in his life. She always wanted to work with him, but unfortunately, it never came to fruition. The film "Baby Doll" was directed by Kazan and Marilyn was a front runner for the lead roll.
