We loved our couple nights at the Tahiti Pearl Beach Resort! We've never seen the beautiful black sand beaches of Tahiti and were ecstatic to experience them. The main feature of the property is the view of the sparkling blue water and contrast with the black sand.

There is one restaurant on property that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. We tried breakfast one morning and based on our experience, we'd recommend the a-la-carte option due to price and options available. If you have breakfast included, go for the buffet, but the a-la-carte options were more than sufficient for us, personally. A-la-carte came with coffee and juice as well, making it a great deal.

We were booked into the ocean view one-bedroom suite and MAN, it was oceanFRONT! We woke up to a spectacular view from the living room after arriving late at night. While the rooms are a bit dark and worn, the view is stunning so we recommend the upgrade, if it's available to you.

The Tahiti Pearl Beach Resort does offer a shuttle into town twice a day, but it is only 10 minutes away and easy to catch a cab. Taxis are more expensive in French Polynesia than some destinations, but given the price of gas, we found the prices fair. We recommend going into Papeete to explore the Le Marché (market).
