I have no words at all when 5.0 just released. This has been without a doubt, the best gamemode I have ever experienced. Its intensity, its gameplay, basically everything about it really excites me! Though what puts it back is of course, the grinding process but overall definitely worth going for. I honestly would make more videos about this sometime soon but with school starting to push me back, I will promise to still deliver content when I have time to.

Tartarus is the longest and hardest gamemode in all of the Tornado Alley Series, lasting from 40 - 50 minutes depending on the lineup and its disaster's length. He is also the final boss of TAU. Tartarus cannot be encountered completely natural like the other gamemodes would, instead, it requires 5 blood moon fragments to be collected in order to make the mode vulnerable to be chosen. It can only be chosen naturally with all 5 fragments and Twisty is unable to queue it. (3.6%)

Prologue:
The moon will eventually be infected with malice and play around with the atmosphere and lighting, turning red. The skies clear up to reveal the blood moon (Tartarus) which will enlarge and send a Global EAS Alert and explain what Tartarus will do to destroy Earth. Once it moves, the ground will shake.

9 PM
Tartarus will summon disasters altering them as doomsday-difficulty ones. There are no sub-disasters to be sent other than doomsday's lightning.

12 AM
Tartarus will summon an endless red blizzard and more disasters that are more difficult and similar to doomsday. Lightning will turn red and act like Super Zeus. After the disasters end, the map will eventually tilt replacing the barriers and ground. The rotation will always be random in 2 directions. After the tilt, Tartarus starts to reach into the underworld to introduce the Earth known as "Ancient Disasters" that were banned from the universe. A portal will open and the map will start to rotate back to its original position.

3 AM
Tartarus will choose 3 out of the 5 ancient disasters to enter the world and wreak havoc with no mercy given whatsoever. Each time one is summoned, the EAS Alert will not appear and will show a special one with its disaster and description listed. Ancient Disasters are only part of Tartarus and cannot be summoned or seen outside of Tartarus and also play a lot more differently than ordinary or doomsday disasters. 6 AM
Tartarus begins to produce 4 pillars to crash the blood moon into the Earth but also exposing its weak points. The 4 pillars has an element. One made of Earth, Water, Energy, and Fire. The order will always be randomized and all survivalists must disable all 4 pillars before Tartarus completely takes over the world and claims it as his Kingdom which includes a time limit in which all players need to be fast enough to disable all pillars. The more survivors equals less time and teamwork required. Dead hands are more frequent and sub-disasters are still active and will cause mind-controlling to all players without an idol. The pillars can move and impulse.

Good Ending
All pillars have been disabled and all survivors will be awarded if not the Full Moon badge. Tartarus realizes that all pillars are disabled and there will be nothing he can do to re-enable them again. Upon Tartarus's death, Yin-n-Yang will break free from Tartarus's control and rebuild the moon containing 0% malice and will balance the world we live in today. Everything demolished will be rebuilt.

Bad Ending
This happens when there are no remaining survivors or if the survivors ran out of time to disable the pillars. Tartarus will activate all 4 pillars and crash into the Earth within a minute and 40 seconds. The universe will no longer exist with no life found.
