Ruan Venter 2021 | Paarl Boys High Rugby

In 2021, Ruan Venter received the opportunity to write his matric at Paarl Boys High and become a member of one the most prestigious school rugby programs in the world. Ruan attended Sutherland High School from Grade 8 to Grade 11, but due to the impact of the Covid19 pandemic, decided to transfer to Paarl Boys High in 2021. It was a huge move, but one that definitely paid off.
Arriving from another school meant that Ruan first had to fight his way into the First Team. Playing for Paarl Boys High was one of Ruan's career highlights and his team was fortunate enough to play 5 matches before Covid19 cut the season short.
During those 5 matches, Ruan grabbed his opportunity and received an offer that would launch hos career as a professional rugby player.
Ruan signed a contract with the Lions and was given the opportunity to play for the Lions under 20 team during 2021 already.
