This mature property already had some trees that will work for the backyard but the front will get a full overhaul. Starting with the addition of a small seating area at the house to enjoy the quiet of the bay plus enjoy the beautiful garden in the front. It's always noted to clients that the design will show their trees, shrubs and perennials in bloom which of course doesn't happen all at once. Instead this yard will enjoy pops of colour throughout the growing season and have a beautiful palette of it as well.
The front yard is left with a minimal amount of grass which is intentional to keep a balance in the space and hopefully make it easy to maintain between the weeding of the planting bed and less watering than it being a full lawn.
Moving in to the backyard the design re-purposes some pavers from the yard for a path to the secrete garden. The colours in the back are also abundant in the design but will show up softly through the season to make it gorgeous to see from the deck but especially from the window at the back of the house.
Seeing where a new deck can be placed to maximize space in the yard showed it extended longer along with privacy and shade added for some cozy days and nights outside.
