People First Party presidential candidate James Soong was welcomed enthusiastically in Banqiao Thursday morning, giving him a boost of confidence just two days before election day. He’s hoping that many of Taiwan’s “silent” voters will make their voices heard in support of his candidacy. James Soong joined PFP legislative candidate Hector Kang early Thursday morning to stump for votes in a Banqiao market. In the final days of the campaign, there have been calls within the pan-blue camp – which includes both the KMT and PFP -- to abandon Soong and save KMT candidate Eric Chu. But Soong was not worried.
