Building A Dry Creek Bed | Gutter Downspout Drainage Fixed | Planting Perennials

Building a dry creek bed to fix a downspout drainage problem that’s not only pooling water killing nearby plants, I knew it would eventually damage my home's foundation if I didn't divert the water in a different direction. Solving the problem can be as easy as running down to Home Depot and picking up some of those ugly plastic gutter extensions (yuck!) OR with just a little additional effort, you can create a beautiful dry creek bed. Both divert water away from problem spots, but one can add a beautiful element to your garden. Join me as I get up, get out, and get active, replacing plants and adding some new perennial plants to my shade garden, and keeping them healthy with a simple yet beautiful dry creek bed.
