When we talk about the 5 elements - Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Space. One of the main elements in the earth is the Top Soil, where practically everything exists and is the fundamental of life source on earth. In recent years Top Soil runoff/degradation/erosion has increased too much and it is feared at which, current rate it is being eroded topsoil and equally proportionately all life forms will cease to exist.

One example encountered in Dayara Bugyal in Uttarakhand, India where India's first-ever soil conservation work was carried out at a height of 11,181 ft

Bugyals are High Altitude pasture lands and known as "Nature's own garden" in Uttarakhand, India. They exist between 3300 - 4000 mtr MSL. Bugyals are a sensitive ecosystem which has gone through immense soil erosion and degradation through human pressure. To solve this issue, Uttarakhand used the Coir mat material to stop soil erosion and protect this fragile ecosystem, watch the video to know more.
