What a cracker on the tech at Wharncliffe on a winch and plummet day

The trails were in lovely condition for the time of year and some lovely autumnal colours from the trees. Also managed to avoid the rain that was forecast from early afternoon which was a welcome bonus

A couple of years ago when the hillside was felled it was thought this could be the end of this iconic riding spot and on my big days out such as this thought there would not be enough trails to fill the day to make the hour or so journey worthwhile. The trail builders soon got back to work and have put together say half a dozen or so trails where the felling took place and have to say my ultimate respect goes to these people for the challenging trails they put together 👌

This was a top day covering 15 miles, 5,000ft elevation in 6 hours doing 17 descents, what's not to like 🤙
