♥︎Lauren Charles was a 40-year-old from New Orleans. Her family and friends described her as bubbly, loving, extremely intelligent, and a go-getter. When she graduated from high school, she knew she wanted to focus on helping others. Lauren was actually the granddaughter of Earl A. Barthe, a renowned American architectural artist known nationally for his "Creole" craftsmanship in plaster, so she already had the spirit of greatness in her blood. After obtaining a master's degree in historic preservation, Lauren became a lawyer and worked as a project manager for a defense contractor in Washington, D.C.
