Gopal Bedi popularly known by his screen name Ranjeet is an Indian film and television actor. He was born on 12 September 1942 in Jandiala Guru, Punjab, India. Ranjit belongs to a punjabi hindu family. Her father Dwarakaprasad Bedi was a Businessman. He has two Brothers: Prem Bedi and Ramesh Bedi. He has also a sister.

Ranjit was married to Aloka Bedi, who is the niece of actress Mumtaz. The couple has 2 Children: His Son Chiranjeev is a racer. His Daughter Divyanka Bedi is a Fashion designer.
