The long-standing creative partnership between Amsterdam’s streetwear powerhouse Patta and Nike shows no signs of slowing down, with the duo once again pushing the boundaries of sneaker design. Following the success of their “Wave” Air Max 90 series, Patta co-founder Edson Sabajo has given fans an exclusive first look at their next big project: the Patta x Nike Air Max DN8. Revealed on Sabajo’s Instagram, the teaser hints at a premium, elevated spin on Nike’s newest Air innovation.

First introduced earlier this year, the Air Max DN8 is Nike’s bold evolution of Dynamic Air technology, featuring eight pressurized Air tubes running the length of the sole. This design enhances cushioning, responsiveness, and overall motion. Patta’s take on the silhouette transforms the performance-driven sneaker with a sophisticated, fashion-forward edge.

The upper stands out immediately thanks to the heavy use of glossy patent leather, which covers the majority of the shoe and tongue for a sleek, high-shine finish. Balancing this luxurious touch are grey mesh side panels that add both breathability and contrast. The toebox swaps traditional mesh for perforated leather, further highlighting Patta’s meticulous approach to detail and materials.

Branding is subtle yet purposeful. A Patta-branded carabiner is clipped onto the laces, hinting at a functional, outdoor-inspired influence, while a two-tone black and silver midsole houses the full-length Max Air cushioning. A blue nylon lace loop provides a pop of color against the otherwise dark, metallic palette, finishing the look with a unique twist.

While Nike and Patta have yet to confirm an official release date or full campaign story, Sabajo’s early reveal strongly suggests that the Patta x Nike Air Max DN8 will launch before the end of 2025. Given the hype surrounding their past collaborations, this drop is shaping up to be one of the year’s most anticipated releases.
