Kody Blois, the prime minister's parliamentary secretary, tells Power & Politics that Bill C-5, the major projects legislation the government wants to fast-track through the House of Commons by Friday, is 'not about shortcuts' and will respect Indigenous rights. But Inuit Tapiriit Kanatami President Natan Obed says the exclusion of Inuit, First Nations and Métis leaders from first ministers' meetings and not providing access to the 'major projects' list put forward by premiers is 'undemocratic' and 'stupid.'
