About PPF:
WHAT IS PPF?
PPF full form is Public Provident Fund, which is a government backed Saving Scheme. Many Indians invest in PPF and treat it as a retirement fund since it has a lock-in period of 15 years. Also it helps in saving income tax while claiming deductions under Section 80C (maximum deduction up to Rs. 1.5 Lacs in a financial year)

Features of PPF
PPF or Public Provident Fund is a savings scheme offered by the Government of India.
PPF has a lock-in period of 15 years
Minimum deposit amount in a FY to keep your PPF account active is Rs. 500
Maximum deposit amount for which you can earn interest in PPF account is Rs. 1,50,000
PPF interest is calculated every month and is compounded annually
PPF or Public Provident Fund falls under EEE category (Exempt, Exempt, Exempt), which means, the Deposits, Interest and Maturity Amounts are all exempted from Income Tax
Partial withdrawals are allowed in PPF account
Loan facility is also available in PPF account

About SSY:
SSY BENEFITS AND FEATURES
Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana is a Government Scheme so your deposits are safe.
You can make Minimum deposit Rs. 250/- and Maximum deposit allowed is Rs. 1.5 Lakh in a financial year
Account can be opened in the name of a girl child till she attains the age of 10 years (between 0-10 years)
Only one account can be opened in the name of a girl child.
Maximum of 2 accounts can be opened for 2 girl children in a family. Cannot open SSY account for third girl child
Account can be opened in Post offices and in authorized banks.
Withdrawal shall be allowed for the purpose of higher education
The account can be prematurely closed in case of marriage of girl child after her attaining the age of 18 years.
The account shall mature on completion of a period of 21 years from the date of opening of account. Deposits can be made for a period of 15 years from the date of opening of account
Deposit qualifies for deduction under Section 80C of Income Tax Act. So you can save Income Tax
Interest earned in the account is free from Income Tax

About SCSS:
SCSS FEATURES AND BENEFITS
SCSS or Senior Citizen Saving Scheme is for the senior citizens of India – Age 60 years or above
It helps you get quarterly interest payout after every quarter based on the principal amount you deposit and interest rate
So for example, you deposit Rs. 1 Lakh in SCSS, at 8% interest rate, you will get Rs. 2000 as quarterly interest payout
SCSS tenure is 5 years, and you can extend it with a block of 3 years as well
You get Income Tax Benefits under Section 80C with SCSS account – maximum Rs. 1.5 Lakh can be claimed in a financial year
The interest rate provided in SCSS is highest compared to any other Post Office saving scheme
