Описание к видео ALONE in Patagonia 6 days 6 nights 67 miles

all the details about the trek below...

What's the O Trek??

A 73.5 mile loop that circles the Paine mountain range in the Torres del Paine National Park. The trail goes along the classic "W" trek and back behind the mountains for a more remote experience and a closer look at the Southern Patagonia Ice Field. The trail is well marked and you have multiple options for sleeping every night. You can book spots at a Refugio (hostel), premium tent, regular tent, or bare campsite (bring your own stuff). Food can be purchased ahead of time or upon arrival at each campground as well.

How to book:

The bus tickets were booked through recorrido.cl. You can pay with cash upon arrival for the shuttles (I paid for these online beforehand but somehow cannot find the website). I paid for a 3+ day national park pass online at tickets.pasesparques.cl

This trek was not something I planned on doing when I originally came to Patagonia because I had only heard that you needed to book the W or O trek MONTHS in advance. After browsing the websites, I was able to book all my campsites just a few weeks prior. Options were limited and I had all my gear with me, so that made it easier.

Not all of the campgrounds are ran by the same company, so you have to book using different sites.

For the Seron and Central campgrounds, I booked through lastorres.com ("where to stay" , "camping", select your dates, I chose "individual campsite").

For the Dickinson, Los Perros, Grey and Paine Grande campgrounds, I booked through vertice.travel ("accommodations" ,"Torres del Paine" , "refuge & camping Dickinson", "Book now")

What I paid:

My goal was to do this as cheap as possible. I talked to many people who paid on average, $2000 for the experience.

Campsites: $306 (one night only a premium tent was available)
Food: $93 (3 meals brought from states, all else from grocery stores)
Market treats: $35
Bus/shuttles: $41
Park pass: $44.50

What to pack:

1 hiking outfit
1 camp outfit (aka merino base layers)
Tent setup
Sleeping pad, bag
first aid + 10 essentials
rain jacket + pants
buff, gloves, beanie, puffer jacket

Full details + mileage:

Day one - Welcome Center to Camp Seron
8.6 miles (13.8 km)
1,335 ft elevation gain (407 m)

Day two: Camp Seron to Camp Dickinson
11.2 mi (18 km)
2,329 ft gain (710 m)

Day three: Camp Dickinson to Camp Los Perros
7.2 mi (11.6 km)
1,902 ft gain (580 m)

Day four: Camp Los Perros to Camp Grey
9.3 mi (15 km)
2,562 ft gain (781 m)

Day five: Camp Grey to Camp Paine Grande
7.2 mi (11.6 km)
2,168 ft gain (661 m)

Day six: Camp Paine Grande to Mirador Briitanico to Camp Central
23.6 mi (38 km)
4,532 ft (1381 m)

The traditional O trek is done in about 8 days and you do not have to do it the way I did. I did not do the Base Towers hike at the end because I had already done that. You do not have to do 23.6 miles on the last day, I did that because the other camps in-between were booked up and I just wanted to be done in 6 days.
