Heat Pump Installation - Day 0

It’s the day before the installation of our air source heat pump at home and, in this video, I take you through what we’ll be installing and the steps we’ve taken to ensure that our property is ready.

We are installing a Vaillant (‪@VaillantUK‬) aroTHERM Plus 7kW monoblock heat pump, it will be working with our existing Mixergy (‪@mixergyltd6286‬) smart hot water tank, our solar panels and home battery. Installation will be handled by our local ‪@HeatGeek‬, Darren Russell from The Smart Boiler Company (‪@smartboilercompany1983‬). We’ll also be installing the heat pump monitoring equipment from OpenEnergyMonitor (‪@OpenenergymonitorOrgpage‬ )

I talk about where the ASHP will be located, the fate of our oil boiler, how our solar panels and battery will help us, how important radiators and heat loss surveys are, what we’ll be doing with our towel rails and what will be happening in our airing cupboard.
