Bernard Wambua (KEN) was the eventual winner in 28:35 (PB) with a halfway split of 13:30 at 5 km. The course starts in front of Charlottenburg castle, passes Ernst-Reuter-Platz and Großer Stern/Siegessäule, before the runners enter after 5 km the domain of the Berlin Zoo. Over Kantstrasse and Windhorst-/Schlossstrasse one raches after 10 km the finish line in front of the castle. Overall about 3000 participants were registered for this race.
