The opening scene of ReAct Theatre's 2003 production of the classic American World War II play, The Hasty Heart by John Patrick. Set in a mobile British Army hospital in the jungles of Burma, a dying Scottish soldier discovers the true richness of love and friendship in his final days. Sorrow is born from the hasty heart. This poignant tale was directed by David Hsieh. Starring Kevin Brady as Lachie, Angela DiMarco as Margaret, and Eric Ankrim as Yank leading our diverse cast including Rob MacGregor, Jeffrey Gilbert, Greg Berry, Ed Tonai, James McLamb and Phil Giesy. This production also commemorated the 10th Anniversary of our theatre company having presented John Patrick's other play, The Curious Savage as our inaugural production in July 1993.
