Urgent Petition Regarding Misuse of Constitutional Powers and Discrimination Between the Strong and the Helpless Citizens of India
Respected Madam/Sir,
With utmost respect to your high constitutional office, I, Ashraf Pallataru, an ordinary citizen of India, submit this humble petition in deep distress and constitutional faith.
The Constitution of India guarantees every citizen equality, dignity, and justice. Unfortunately, in practice, many officials and institutions have misused the powers entrusted to them by the Constitution. Instead of serving all citizens equally, these powers are often exercised in favor of the powerful while ignoring or suppressing the helpless and marginalized. This discriminatory exercise of authority amounts to a direct assault on the dignity of the Constitution itself.
My Concerns:
Misuse of Governance Powers:
Authorities frequently use their constitutional and statutory powers not for impartial justice, but to favor those with influence and strength, leaving the vulnerable without remedy.
Violation of Equality (Article 14):
The principle of equality before law is undermined when strong citizens secure immediate relief while the helpless are left unheard and neglected.
Violation of Freedom of Speech (Article 19):
When marginalized citizens raise their voices against injustice, they are silenced through intimidation, procedural hurdles, or outright rejection of their grievances.
Violation of Right to Life and Dignity (Article 21):
Denial of justice makes the lives of ordinary citizens insecure and erodes their basic dignity as guaranteed by the Constitution.
My Humble Prayers:
I therefore beseech Your Excellency, as the Constitutional Head of our nation and the ultimate guardian of citizens’ rights, to kindly:
Order a High-Level Inquiry into the misuse of governance powers and discrimination between strong and helpless citizens.
Issue Directions to the Ministry of Law and Justice to strengthen legal safeguards that ensure equal treatment of all citizens regardless of their social, economic, or political power.
Instruct Human Rights Commissions and Government Authorities to adopt strict guidelines against discrimination and misuse of authority.
Reaffirm the Sanctity of the Constitution by ensuring that governance powers are exercised as instruments of justice, not as tools of discrimination.
Conclusion:
Power is derived from the trust of the people. It must never be abused for the benefit of the strong while neglecting the weak. The misuse of constitutional powers and the denial of dignity to helpless citizens not only violates fundamental rights but also shakes the very foundation of our democracy.
I humbly trust that Your Excellency’s intervention will restore faith in the Constitution and protect the dignity and rights of every citizen, especially the voiceless and marginalized.
With utmost respect and constitutional faith,
Sincerely,
Ashraf Pallataru
