The Bells of Dunblane

Описание к видео The Bells of Dunblane

The Bells of Dunblane is a beautiful Slow Air tribute written by Pipe Major Robert Mathieson in honor of those that died on March 13th 1996. A gunman entered the gymnasium of the Dunblane Primary School in Scotland and took the lives of sixteen children and one adult. These acts of violence are devastating and horrific. The bells of Dunblane Cathedral rang a long tribute to the victims. Pipe Major Robert Mathieson of the Shotts and Dykehead Pipe Band composed this slow air in memoriam of the event. He entitled it "The Bells of Dunblane" because the silence of the people and the sound of the cathedral bells seemed much stronger than any spoken word.

My prayer is that we make this world a better place by striving to give our children, our future, a loving and nurturing world filled with hope. Let us nurture each child and safe keep the innocence of our children.
