I'm working on a Kickstarter to release a deluxe new edition of Paradigm Shift that will collect the first three books into a single volume and the fourth book (Part Four: Flight) into a second volume.

This year I've been playing around with video. For many years, I've wanted to create an animated trailer for Paradigm Shift, and now I have an excuse to do it. 

I put the video itself together in Adobe After Effects. I used to work as a video editor and practically lived in this program. It's basically like Photoshop for video and animation. I took artwork from the comic, layered it with some textures, and tweaked the scale, position and transparency over time in sync with the soundtrack.

I also wrote and performed the music for the trailer, too. I've been a musician all my life, but only over the last couple of years have I tried to compose my own stuff. I originally had made this trailer using a royalty-free soundtrack, but before I could purchase the rights, they changed to a subscription-only service. So, I pulled out my guitar and sketched out something myself. I recorded all the guitar and bass parts, sequenced the drums, and did the final mix down in Logic Pro X.
