One peculiarity of the Macintosh version of Monkey Island 2 is that, at least when playing it through ScummVM, some parts near the end of the game are missing the resources for the Macintosh music, leading those scenes to be silent. To address this, ScummVM can optionally play the Roland MT-32 music instead, since the Macintosh instruments are a subset of that.

It would be great if someone who has played the game on an actual Macintosh could verify that these pieces of music really are missing. The second one happens at the end of your first encounter with LeChuck, after he tries to banish you for the second time. I've always loved those ascending/descending notes leading into the underground tunnels music, so the silence felt really out of place.
