For our International Women’s Day event in partnership with the The TRADE, we celebrated women in trading and investment and welcomed back some of the first female traders to the London Stock Exchange.

During the event, London Stock Exchange CEO Julia Hoggett, gave an inspiring opening address, which was followed by a discussion with some of the original female traders at the London Stock Exchange. We then heard from The TRADE managing editor Laurie McAughtry, and a panel discussion on 'Raising the bar: What more needs to be done to encourage diversity in the trading and financial services industry?’.

It was an honour to be joined by female pioneers of trading on the 50th anniversary of women being allowed onto the London trading floor and to celebrate and support diversity across the industry.
