Lecture 12 talks about the purpose of simulations in control systems and introduces Matlab as an example of the sort of software used to performs simulations. An example model based on the Bloodhound SSC project was used to demonstrate the power, and then some basic uses of the Control System toolbox was also demonstrated. The lecture also covers the basics of building simulations using Simulink, again with a short demonstration.
